Eid Milad un Nabi
Prophet Muhammad (saw) is the ultimate messenger of Allah Almighty. The religion of Islam has been completed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Holy Quran is the final sacred book revealed on Prophet Muhammad (saw). The ultimate messenger of Allah, Muhammad (saw) is the person of truth, honesty, and mercy amongst all humans. Prophet Mohamad (saw) was born in Mecca on Monday 12th Rabi ul Awal in 571 C.E. Rabi ul Awal is the 3rd Islamic month which has a great importance in Islamic history because the entire humanity was blessed with our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) in this holy month. Muslims around the world celebrate ‘Eid e Milad nu Nabi’ during this holy month. On this day we remind ourselves of the unaccountable advantages, kindness and Love which the Muslim Ummah got from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and thank Allah Almighty for making us Ummati of His Prophet (PBUH)
Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebration
On this
occasion all Muslims around the world have a good religious festival to celebrate. Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) birth day is
important due to some other occasions held in it. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)
started his journey of Hijrah at some point in this month and also built the
first Mosque of Islam, Masjid Quba in this month. Muslims all over the world on
this holy occasion, beautify properly-lit streets, mosques, residential places
and build colorful lighting fixtures on Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Meals, goodies and
other services also are disbursed amongst Muslims on the day of Eid
Milad-un-Nabi
In some
different parts of the world, this event is determined with huge processions and
a festival like surroundings. There is an atmosphere of bonhomie and people can
be seen exchanging gifts and dividing food amongst the poor. The Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH)
birthday is celebrated with spiritual lectures and recitals of verses from the
Qur'an, in mosques adorned with lighting to mark the occasion. During
the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi
celebrations the national flag is hoisted on all public buildings and lots of people start
gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore
between the intervening night of eleventh and 12th Rabi' al-awwal to celebrate Eid ul milid nabi. It is the world’s biggest gathering
for mawlid celebrations.
